The tension rises between Aleix Espargaro and Franco Morbidelli during Free Practice 2 of the Qatar Grand Prix. While Espargaro was launched into a fast lap at Losail, the No. 41 saw his attempt stopped by the Yamaha rider idling in the middle of the track. The two drivers then touched each other, but no one crashed.
So begins an explanation between the two men during which the teammate of fabio quartararo tries to calm down a furious Espargaro. The Spaniard, however, doesn't want to hear anything and approaches Morbidelli to hit him on the helmet.
The race management began to study the incident after the session, and the Aprilia rider will logically receive a six-place penalty on the starting grid, as well as a fine of 10 euros. A well-deserved sanction for an action that cannot be justified.
