Official: Luca de Meo leaves Renault in July

Luca de Meo will turn the page on Renault Group on July 15. After five years at the helm of the car manufacturer, the leader announced his departure for " take on new challenges outside the automotive sector "To Renault, according to a press release published this Sunday.
Arriving in 2020, Luca de Meo leaves behind a group he helped to turn around and profoundly transform. The Board of Directors, meeting under the chairmanship of Jean-Dominique Senard, praised his work and stated that the process of appointing a successor was already underway, in accordance with the planned succession plan.
Luca de Meo to take over as CEO of Kering
Until his effective departure, de Meo will continue in his duties. The Board also reaffirmed its confidence in the current management team to continue and accelerate the group's transformation in this new phase.
“For 5 years, Luca de Meo has worked to put Renault Group back where it belongs, said Jean-Dominique Senard. Under his leadership, our company has found a healthy foundation, it now has a magnificent range of products and has returned to growth. According to Le Figaro, Luca de Meo will take over as CEO of Kering, a French group of companies that is now the world's second largest luxury goods company after LVMH in terms of revenue.
