In 2027, Renault Renault will inaugurate its future museum, entitled "The Collections." Located at its historic site in Flins-sur-Seine, 40 km from Paris, the diamond-shaped logo company is preparing to showcase its 125-year history through iconic models that have made the brand famous. But before that, an auction is scheduled for December 7th, featuring many of the most emblematic pieces in its history.

In this instance, Renault intends to reorganize its collection before the museum's opening, scheduled for more than a year from now. As part of this plan, the brand will retain a total of 600 iconic models produced since 1898, and will therefore sell off other equally significant vehicles, but ones in which it owns multiple examples.

F1, Rally, Endurance… Renault celebrates its history

Thus, among the most remarkable models going on sale on December 7th, the 1901 Type D will be among them. On the motorsport front, there will be, among other things, around twenty single-seaters from the turbo era developed by Renault in Formula 1ranging from the RE27B of 1981 to the RE60 01B of 1985.Alpine A442, a true symbol of the 24H of Le Mans, or the Maxi Turbo prototype B0 Rally Many vehicles will be on display and available for auction. Unique pieces, such as the Renault Elf V6 Turbo EF15 engine that notably powered Ayrton Senna's Lotus at the Detroit Grand Prix, will also be up for grabs.

“We are honored by the trust Renault has placed in us and excited to organize an auction that will remain a major event,” commented Pierre Novikoff, vice-president of Artcurial Motorcars – a partner of Renault since 2022. We will offer a unique opportunity in a collector's life: that of becoming, in turn, the curator of this rich heritage.
