Notation method: The journalists at AUTOhebdo each submitted their top 50 from a pre-defined list of 80 names. The driver in first place received 50 points, down to the fiftieth, who received one point. The average of the votes produced a ranking based on the driver's (or crew's) performance in their category during the year 2025.

It had been 17 years since McLaren was waiting for this. After winning two Constructors' titles in the last two years, the Woking-based firm has finally secured a Drivers' title, its first since Lewis Hamilton in 2008. Lando Norris triumphed, after 24 race weekends, which were not linear, but at the end of which he won his first world championship title.
Norris had started his season with a bang, winning the Australian Grand Prix, before experiencing a slump where he struggled against his teammate Oscar piastriBy making several mistakes, the Bristol native showed some mental weaknesses before bouncing back in the middle of summer, notably after the Canadian GP where he collided with his teammate Oscar Piastri.
Following this incident, Lando Norris brilliantly recovered and closed the gap on Oscar Piastri… until the Dutch Grand Prix. Retiring at Zandvoort with engine failure left the Briton 34 points behind and seemingly seeing his title hopes vanish. But once again, he bounced back, defied expectations, and delivered an excellent end to the season, capped by two victories in Mexico and Brazil to regain the championship lead. By perfectly managing the final weekend of the year in Abu Dhabi, Lando Norris secured his first world championship title. While his year wasn't always smooth sailing, the number 4 driver consistently managed to recover and deliver impressive weekends, undoubtedly establishing him as one of the greats.
