Notation method: The journalists at AUTOhebdo each submitted their top 50 from a pre-defined list of 80 names. The driver in first place received 50 points, down to the fiftieth, who received one point. The average of the votes produced a ranking based on the driver's (or crew's) performance in their category during the year 2025.

45. Felipe Nasr, Nick Tandy and Laurens Vanthoor
- Winners of the 24 Hours of Daytona
- Winners of the 12 Hours of Sebring
The first crew to appear in our ranking, the trio of Laurens Vanthoor, Nick Tandy and Felipe Nasr, did not secure the title in IMSA, but still made a significant impact across the Atlantic with two prestigious victories in the first two rounds of the season. Winners of a Rolex at the 24 Hours of Daytona, they followed up with another victory in Florida, at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Belgian driver Laurens Vanthoor, also competing in WEC, also proved decisive in helping Mathieu Jaminet and Matt Campbell finish the season with the IMSA title.
44. Yoann Bonato
- French Rally Champion for the sixth time
- Four rallies won
- 45 special victories
Once again, Yoann Bonato, co-piloted by Benjamin Boulloud (you can find the joint interview of the two men here and in issue #2541 of AUTOhebdo), secured the French Rally Championship title, his sixth already! Pushed to his limits by Éric Camilli, the two men traded blows during the final at Rally from Var, Bonato lost by less than ten seconds, but it was he who regained the national title.
43. Yann Ehrlacher
- Winner of the TCR World Tour for the third time
- Four victories
Yvan Muller's nephew has once again reigned supreme in the TCR World Tour, establishing himself as one of the best touring car drivers in the world. And this time, he managed to clinch the title on the legendary streets of Macau!
42. Shane van Gisbergen

- Qualified for the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs in his first full season
- Winner of five consecutive road race events
While he initially struggled on ovals before gradually improving, Shane van Gisbergen left his opponents in his wake when it came to both left and right turns. The New Zealander won five of the six road and street races, some by margins rarely seen in the modern history of the American stock car championship.
41. Nasser Al-Attiyah
- Vice-world champion of rally-raids
- Winner of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge
Three-time world champion in the discipline, Nasser Al-Attiyah narrowly missed out on a fourth title this season. A one-hour penalty for failing to stop at the final stage of the championship in Morocco cost him a title he could have won despite having competed with two different co-drivers throughout the season: Frenchman Édouard Boulanger and Belgian Fabian Lurquin. Having already won the title with two different cars in 2024, the Qatari driver almost repeated the feat!
