Charade Super Show this weekend: fireworks in Auvergne

For its third edition, the Charade Super Show returns in an expanded format to two days on the sidelines of the national holiday and dedicated to motor sports in all its forms.

What could be better than being on one of the most beautiful circuits in France to celebrate July 14? We see this original idea at Green Corp Korporation (GCK), the company operating the Charade circuit (Puy-de-Dôme) since the end of the pandemic. To stay in the theme of celebrating the place, it is the Charade Super Show, a concept launched in 2022, which was chosen for this summer weekend. “Two years ago, we took the challenge of imagining an event bringing together historic and modern vehicles, cars and motorcycles, in the presence of champions of the past and present,e recalls Éric Boudot, president of GCK. This mix turned out to be a winner. »

In 2023, the event reached a milestone with the arrival of Sébastien Loeb and Guerlain Chicherit aboard the electric Delta Evo-RX and a rare Lamborghini SCV12 In the space of one day, 12 spectators gathered in the Auvergne hills. Building on this success, the formula has been adapted to accommodate even more audiences. “The rise continues since we have extended the duration of the event to two days in order to add a new festive dimension on Saturday evening, continues Éric Boudot. On the track side, we are delighted to present a wide range of disciplines: motorcycle speed, car, endurance, tourism, rally, drift…”

Entertainment on the track

Spectators' ears will be delighted with several historic cars in action, starting with the Chrysler Viper GTS-R that the FFSA entered for its French team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2002 (3rd in the GTS). The GT1 was renovated by Arts & Revs, with Florent Moulin's company also planning to display several of its cars in the paddock. Jean-Philippe Belloc will take the wheel. Of the Formula 1 will also be there, like the Ligier JS21 from 1983 and which will be driven by Soheil Ayari. The former AGS team, still active in Gonfaron in the Var, will present five single-seaters, including the JH24 and JH25 which raced in the premier discipline in 1989 and 1990.

Among the cars on track, two legends will meet: Jean Ragnotti, and the Renault R5 Turbo from 1982! Renault Classic will also take the 442 A1978 driven by Patrick Depailler and Jean-Pierre Jabouille on display.

Several signing sessions will be organized over the weekend with Jean-Claude Andruet, Soheil Ayari, Jean-Philippe Belloc, Nathanaël Berthon, Guerlain Chicherit, Sarah Lezito, Alain Michel, Romain Monti, Rudy Servol, Jean Ragnotti, Raymond Roche and Christian Sarron. Finally, among around fifty motorcycles will be presented by the Spirit of Speed ​​Association for the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the last French Motorcycle Grand Prix contested in Charade.
