Anything is possible because the future of a brand doesn't depend on one guy. Especially since Renault Sport was eliminated (clever move?) and given that...Alpine It's pathetic in F1 and very weak in WEC, so what's the point, especially if they're going to stick a Mercedes engine on it in 2026? Personally, I'd love for our national sports car brand to continue and make money! Wishful thinking...
There is no point in making plans for the future until LDM's replacement – who is a little tired of the overall automotive context where he has nevertheless spent his entire career and also wants one last professional challenge because Kering is not doing really well – is identified and in place.
One thing is certain: at the level of the Renault Group brands' product plans, everything is already locked in at the industrial level until at least the beginning of 2028, and it will be very difficult for his successor to change the course set by LDM. As for motorsport, it's very easy to end it and/or refocus if financial constraints arise!
Why did you sabotage the Viry-Chatillon factory and offload Alpine Briatore went into F1 if he was "a true enthusiast", and then left?? I don't have enough information but it's a bit surprising.
The future of Renault in competition is now in doubt. But it is serious that such important decisions depend on a single person!!! Renault must return as a team, and Alpine …… in other ….. disciplines. Alpine Endurance, and Alpine possibly in rallying …… if I were the decision maker, that’s what I would do……. It’s obvious….!!!! 😎👀🛞👀🤨
