Historic Tour of Corsica – There will be 383 participants!

The only Tour de Corse still running in 2024 is the Historic version. That's good, the 24th edition of the event on the Isle of Beauty will be spectacular, and may even cause traffic jams on the most beautiful island roads.
This wealth is found on a partly new route de 1 kilometers and on a plateau de 383 automobiles, including 35 brands – living or dead. The Lancia firm is particularly in the spotlight this year, with a tribute to its Group B legend, the 037, four examples of which will be brought together. Proof de the ever-growing enthusiasm for the event, it only took about a dozen hours on January 13 delast to reach the limit des possible registrations. Among the competitors expected at the start, some come de far like the American hero John Buffum (Ford Escort RS 2000, two podiums in the World Rally Championship) or the ex-pilot de Formula 1 Jos Verstappen (Porsche 911 Carrera RS).
Among the French, we will be keeping a close eye on the Porsche 911 Carrera 3L RS of the couple Alain and Sylvie Oreille, double winners of the competition. The veterans will be joined by another legend of the rally, Bruno Saby (winner of the 1986 Tour de Corse with Peugeot ). This one will be navigated by an expert in the field, Denis Giraudet, aboard a Subaru Legacy!
