Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport: a very limited track car

With the 911 GT3 R rennsport, of which units will be rare, Porsche wants to offer the ultimate track experience to sports car enthusiasts.

Here is the new jewel straight from the workshops of Porsche, the 911 GT3 R rennsport. Soon presented to the public at Laguna Seca as part of the Rennsport Reunion 7 (September 28-1^er October), there is nothing ordinary about this racing car, representing precisely all the imagination of the German manufacturer's engineers, their freedom of expression going " beyond motorsport regulations,” according to Porsche.

Fruit of the creation of Grant Larson and Thorsten Klein of the design department, this machine exclusively reserved for the track is also very exclusive since it is limited to only 77 examples. Each peaks at 951 euros… excluding taxes anyway. This should therefore force each owner to line up a check exceeding one million euros.

Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport, power but not only

Inspired by the new 911 GT3 R (Type 992) used for competition, this Rennsport Porsche 911 GT3 R will offer unique performance to its future owners. The famous German 4,2-liter six-cylinder has a power of 620 hp with an engine speed rising to 9400 rpm.

Body side, only the hood and roof were taken from the standard 911 GT3 R. For the rest, Porsche's design department took out the brushes and reworked all the other elements to give it a "unique and eye-catching" look. The most striking element, or one that is immediately noticed, is the rear wing whose design is reminiscent of that of the 935/77 Brumos which won the 24 1978 Hours of Daytona.

For its latest exclusivity, Porsche offers its customers a shell painted in Agate Gray Metallic and a carbon body. In terms of innovation, for the first time, the German manufacturer is offering seven colors. The owner will be able to push the customization a little further since there will also be three additional exclusive designs.

The interior looks like that of a racing car with a reworked steering wheel, a screen with all the information but also a dashboard to manage all the controls.
