From Tuesday to Thursday, the Formula 2 is back in Barcelona this week in February. Just a few days after the Formula 3, the antechamber of the F1 The team is indeed running on the Catalan circuit, as part of the final tests before the first weekend of the season in Melbourne. The fastest overall time on this first day of testing was set by Mexican driver Noel León, a Campos driver this season. Martinius Stenshorne, who led the morning session, also lived up to expectations, securing the first benchmark time of the week.

Aside from Invicta's cautious approach (Joshua Dürksen still managed the third fastest time of the afternoon), and particularly that of the F3 champion – Rafael Câmara – the fastest teams expected to finish the 2025 season were all present. Alexander Dunne, only 15 thousandths of a second behind his teammate Rodin on Tuesday morning, finished ahead of Gabriele Mini – MP Motorsport driver – as well as Nikola Tsolov and Noel León – Campos drivers.

Among the most anticipated drivers on the grid, American Colton Herta – the new protégé of the Cadillac project and a Hitech driver – failed to get within a second and a half of the leader's times.
