On the legendary Silverstone circuit, the F2 saw several notable events take place during this new race weekend. The eighth round of the season out of the fourteen scheduled, this event was notably marked by the first victory of Leonardo Fornaroli (Invicta) this year, in a sprint race. Reigning champion of F3 without having won a single race, the Italian thus ended a series of 1491 days without any success in car, and is back in the top of the table thanks to this victory.

In the main race, Jak Crawford (DAMS) crossed the finish line first on a track that was significantly wetter than the day before. Behind him, Alexander Dunne (Rodin), but especially Luke Browning (Hitech), who made a formidable comeback, completed a podium of title contenders, thus intensifying the pressure behind Richard Verschoor (MP Motorsport). For his part, the other academy driver Williams, poleman for the first time, was forced to retire, and once again concludes a disappointing weekend.

In the lower category, Rafael Câmara's (Trident) failure to win again was enough to reshuffle the cards. Although Nikola Tsolov (Campos) also missed out, trapped by the rain, the Campos riders shone in Great Britain. Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak won the sprint race while Mari Boya brilliantly dominated the main race, seeing Théophile Naël claim his third podium of the season and equal his best result in the discipline. In the standings, the Tricolore is seventh, while Boya is recovering behind the challengers.
