MP Motorsport has announced the contract extension of Oliver Goethe for the 2026 season.

The German driver, who joined the team mid-2024 before competing in his first full season in 2025, will thus continue his journey with the Dutch team.

MP Motorsport has announced the contract extension of Oliver Goethe for the 2026 season.

Euroformula Open champion in 2022, Oliver Goethe was a promising driver, but the German never quite lived up to expectations. Eighth in F3 In 2023, his first season, he finished seventh; in 2024, the year he also made his debut in F2 with MP Motorsport.

The London native, runner-up at the 2024 World Cup in Macau, has remained with the Dutch team ever since, and will play a second full season with them in 2026. Delighted with this renewal, Goethe explained how comfortable he feels within the team: “I am really delighted to be staying with MP Motorsport for my second year in Formula 2. Over the years, the team has become like a second home to me, and despite the adversity we have faced this season, our bonds have only grown stronger.” assures the young man, a discreet 17th in the championship this season. “Now that I have the experience of a full season, I want to capitalize on everything I’ve learned and continue building with the MP engineering team. I want to finish this season in the best possible way first, then go for 2026!”

From the team's perspective, Team Principal Sander Dorsman also expressed his satisfaction with the driver's decision: “We are all very happy that Ollie has chosen to continue with us in F2. Working with him has been a real pleasure, and the fact that we know each other so well will be an added advantage for 2026. He scored some good points this year, but luck has sometimes been against him. The 2026 season looks extremely competitive, but we will be ready and determined to make it happen.”

With this contract extension, MP Motorsport confirms its commitment to stability and continuity as it heads into what promises to be a particularly competitive 2026 season. Oliver Goethe will thus benefit from an additional year to solidify his potential and aim for better results in F2. MP Motorsport has not yet announced the name of his future teammate.
