Brazil has its new representative. Assured to be present in F1 Next year under the colours of Sauber, Gabriel Bortoleto wanted to justify his promotion a little more by adding the Formula 2 to his record.
A title acquired at the end of his first season in the category, a year after having already been crowned in F3 as a rookie. Second on the grid this Sunday, the Invicta driver saw his rival Isack Hadjar (Campos) stall which left him with a huge boulevard in front of him. From then on, the Auriverde had only to manage to become the first driver to chain the titles in F3 and F2 in his first year since Oscar piastri (2020 and 2021).

To be honest, I was concentrating on trying to win the race. I didn't really understand what was going on. I asked my engineer where Isack was. But I don't even know why I asked that. I was somewhere else. I didn't know if Isack was still there or not. I was concentrating on catching Victor. (Martins) and Joshua (Dürksen).
It’s just incredible. I couldn’t ask for more. Thinking about the dream journey to reach F1, I’ve achieved everything I set out to do. I won F3 as a rookie, now F2 and I already have a drive in F1 for next season… It’s the best feeling of my life. I’m very proud. »
