What a weekend for Arvid Lindblad! He became the second youngest poleman in the history of the F2 Friday (behind) Theo Pourchaire), the Briton won his first main race in the F1 antechamber. A few weeks after already having achieved success in Sprint in Saudi Arabia, Arvid Lindblad confirms his immense talent, which makes him a contender for the Formula 1 from next season.

The Campos driver ran a soft-hard strategy, like most of the leading drivers on the grid, which allowed him to win ahead of Sebastian Montoya (Prema). Juan Pablo's son had a more eventful weekend: second in qualifying, he was found guilty of a collision with his teammate Gabriele Minì in the Sprint. After crossing the finish line in 5th, the Colombian received a penalty that dropped him to 11th place, outside the points.

After joining A14 Management, the pilot management structure of Fernando AlonsoAt the start of the week, Montoya reacted in a very strong manner on Sunday by resisting Richard Verschoor (MP Motorsport) to maintain his second place. The Dutchman, winner of the Sprint, took another podium and had a very solid weekend which brought him to within three points of the championship lead, still held by Alex Dunne (Rodin).

The protégé of McLaren led another strong comeback by opting for a staggered hard-soft strategy, which allowed him to have a significantly faster pace than the leaders at the end of the race. He finished 5th, but could have made it onto the podium if Leonardo Fornaroli hadn't ended up in the gravel trap three laps from the finish.

The champion of F3 caused the only safety car to come out in a relatively uneventful race: it was behind the Safety Car that Lindblad crossed the finish line as the winner. Good news for the French: Victor Martins, who started 15th, has moved up to 8th place.
