  • These DAMS have rhythm! Second on the grid, Jak Crawford did not miss his chance. With the opportunity to win for second in F2 after the Sprint Race in Austria last year, the protégé ofAston Martin showed confidence on the track.
  • In the end, it came down to the pit lane. Facing polesitter Paul Aron (Hitech GP) and using the same strategy (soft then hard), Jak Crawford bet on an early stop, stopping three laps earlier than the Estonian. A strategy that paid off since the latter was unable to do anything when the American presented himself in front of him on the 12th lap. With warm tires, he had no trouble getting rid of his counterpart to virtually take the lead in the Main Race.
  • With the field cleared before him, the DAMS pilot then demonstrated great mastery, not overwhelmed by the fact of seeing a first Sunday success on the horizon. Well helped by the passage of Paul Aron through the gravel, the veteran of the sector Red Bull widened the gap until finally taking cover. The return of Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) in the final laps was ultimately too short, the Argentinian failing at 1 seconds. For the Sarthe team, the celebration will be very good this Sunday evening since Juan Manuel Correa accompanied his teammate on the box, confirming the progress seen since the start of the year.
  • Fourth at the finish, Paul Aron limits the damage since he did not lose any points on his runner-up Isack Hadjar (Campos). Starting 11th, the Habs managed to make a good comeback to 5th position. At the end of this Catalan weekend, 9 units separate the two men while Austria and Great Britain will follow each other successively.
  • Winner of the Sprint on Saturday, Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) was unable to go beyond the second corner this Sunday. His average start made him lose a few positions. In the middle of the peloton and his risks, he was unable to do anything when Dennis Hauger (MP Motorsport) lost control of his car and carried him away. Stuck in the gravel, the Frenchman had no choice but to give up.
