- In a Sprint Race where it was necessary to be patient between a red flag due to showers and numerous interruptions for various incidents on the track, Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Prema) mastered his subject. In pole position thanks to the reverse grid system and his 10th position in Friday qualifying, the Italian produced a very clean copy, never really being threatened.
- Zane Maloney (Rodin Motorsport) tried hard but was unable to hold on to Andrea Kimi Antonelli, whose pace in the wet was very impressive. Despite the interventions of the safety car and the few restarts to manage, the protégé of Mercedes always knew how to distance himself from his rivals over whom he finished more than 8 seconds ahead and the additional point for the best lap in the race (2'01"267). Having been in trouble since the start of the season, he who is insistently announced in F1 next year, the Transalpine will sign its first climb on a podium of F2 with a great win.
- On the box, the winner of the day was accompanied by Zane Maloney who found it after 7 races. Gabriel Bortoleto (Invicta Racing) thought he would complete the podium but ultimately received a 5-second penalty for overtaking his teammate Kush Maini outside the track limits. Thus, he dropped to 4th place, with the Indian recovering 3rd place. Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) brought up the rear in the Top 5.
- Despite the hopes of points in this Sprint Race, the Tricolores did not see the finish. One time 5th after starting 9th, Victor Martins (ART Grand Prix) experienced a small problem on the 16th lap which allowed his teammate Zak O'Sullivan to catch up on him. Very close, the two men were unable to avoid contact at turn 4 leading to a double retirement for the French team.
- Same outcome for Isack Hadjar (Campos). In difficulty in the wet, the protégé of Red Bull gradually lost ground and made a mistake on the 8th lap which ended his day. The Ile-de-France driver missed turn 9 and ended his race in the gravel. Luckily, his direct rival for the title and championship leader Paul Aron (Hitech GP) was also forced to retire after being hit from behind by Josep María Martí… teammate of Isack Hadjar. Status quo therefore between the Tricolore and the Estonian with 11 units of difference while Gabriel Bortoleto has come closer thanks to 5 points from 4rd position. Third in the championship, the Brazilian is 27 lengths from the lead.

A timely first victory... and which will help to justify (a little) his promotion to Williams' second seat from the Dutch Grand Prix at the end of August at Zandvoort?
