A team of more than Formula 2 has completed its driver line-up for the upcoming season. After Invicta (Joshua Dürksen / Rafael Câmara), Campos (Nikola Tsolov / Noel León) and AIX Racing (Cian Shields / Emerson Fittipaldi Jr), it is now DAMS' turn to finalize its driver pairing.

While the team had already announced the signing of the protégé of Classic Ferrari for sale Dino Beganovic has now been replaced by Roman Bilinski, who joins the ranks of Charles Pic's team. "Roman has a very well-balanced profile: fast, intelligent, and consistent.", praises the former Caterham driver F1, owner of DAMS. “His success in Oceania confirmed his potential and professionalism. He joins DAMS with great energy and a strong desire to progress. We look forward to supporting him in this important stage of his career.”

Roman Bilinski arrives in Formula 2 at 21 after a season of ups and downs. Eleventh in the overall standings in Formula 3He won the sprint race on the final weekend of the season in Monza, after having reached two podiums in Australia (2nd in the sprint) and Monaco (2nd in the main race).

“Joining such a prestigious team as DAMS Lucas Oil is a true honor.”, exclaims the British-Polish man. “Formula 2 represents an incredible challenge, and I am ready to give everything to represent the team at the highest level. I have learned a lot in recent years and I look forward to putting that experience to good use on the track. I would like to thank DAMS for giving me this opportunity and for their confidence.”

With the French team, Bilinski and Beganovic will try to match Jak Crawford's performance, who is currently in contention for the title (2nd, 19 points behind Leonardo Fornaroli, the leader). In the team standings, however, DAMS is suffering from Kush Maini's poor form, only 16th in the championship, which places the team in 4th position.

The Indian driver is not at the required level and currently sits 15th in the overall standings after finishing 11th in 2023 and 13th in 2024, the latter being the teammate of champion Gabriel Bortoleto. If a team is once again drawn to the millions brought by the Indian driver, it will not be DAMS, who opted instead for Roman Bilinski, winner of the Formula Regional Oceania (FROC) in 2024.
