Never two without three. The story of Victor Martins with the Formula 2 is not over. After a very encouraging 2023 rookie season (5th in the championship and best rookie), the Tricolore did not have the same success in 2024, the year marking the introduction of the new car.
Without any bearings, the Parisian had a difficult start to the campaign, never being able to string together good results or at least capitalize on great opportunities. Although he gradually picked up the thread in the second half with two podiums in the Main Race (Hungary and Azerbaijan) and a pole position (Abu Dhabi), Victor Martins could not do better than 7th in the championship with 107 points, 2 places lower than in 2024 and 43 points less.
If his future has never been certain since the end of the year in Abu Dhabi, especially after having tried his luck twice, Victor Martins has finally decided to go for another ride. A third season of Formula 2, still at ART Grand Prix and with a single goal in mind: to win the championship title. He would thus imitate his former teammate Theo Pourchaire, also crowned after three seasons (2023).

However, no mention was made of a new campaign carried out under the colours ofAlpine, whose academy line-up has not yet been announced and remains uncertain. For his part, Victor Martins has deleted mention of the French team on his social networks in recent days.
With the announcement of Victor Martins at ART Grand Prix, the 2025 Formula 2 grid is officially complete.

Alpine and Briatore don't think what a shame since this driver has nothing to envy Colapinto, Dohan and the like, go show what you're capable of with a title in F2 and put Briatore in his place

While not being titled in F2 even after 3 seasons opens the doors to F1 (Zhou, Bearman, Antonelli, Hadjar...).

Victor paid for the mistakes of his team, which, more than him, was not in the game. His first season is the reference to take into account. Good luck to him for this year.

Being crowned after 3 seasons is synonymous with a dead end for F1. And even the WEC
