Best rookie 2023, the Francilien was given as the big favorite to succeed Théo Pourchaire at the start of the season, with a future mapped out in Formula 1 from 2025. Alas, the Tricolore is in difficulty on an accounting level, to the point of appearing in 20th position in the Drivers ranking, light years from its standards.

How can we explain this surprising start to the season, to say the least? You had accustomed us to other heights…

I had also gotten used to something else… (Smile) It's a complicated start to the season, and it's even more difficult to understand everything that's happening. We had very few test days to work around the car and try a different approach. There car does not work the same way as the old one (that of the period 2020-2023. Editor’s note). I also have to change things in my driving. Finding the right balance is not easy between knowing if I need to change the way I drive, or if I need to change settings on the car.
