While announcements have been pouring in over the past few weeks, the outlines of the teams involved in Formula 3 for the 2026 season are beginning to take shape. Three French drivers, for example, will be on the roster for next season. Already participating in the 2025 season, Alessandro Giusti will remain with MP Motorsport, while Théophile Naël will be present at the reigning champion team, Campos. Fighting for the FRECA title this year, Enzo Deligny joins the Prema team. Among the most credible clients for a title at the end of the season, Eurocup-3 champion Mattia Colnaghi will team up with Alessandro Giusti at MP, while Trident has made the ambitious choice to recruit Freddie Slater and Matteo De Palo, the two leaders of the European Regional Formula.
It was in this context that the first day of post-season testing took place in Jerez, Spain. The fastest time was set in the morning by Frenchman Alessandro Giusti, who has not been beaten since. Managing to lap in 1:30.732, the protégé of the sector Williams was followed by Freddie Slater and Mattia Colnaghi, while Jesse Carrasquedo completed a top 4 mainly made up of future rookies in the category.
Taponen and Giusti lead in Jerez
