Santiago Ramos (VAR) battled hard but held on! Starting from pole position thanks to the reverse grid system, the Mexican experienced a pressure-filled Sprint Race. That's an understatement, and it was from the moment the lights went out. Indeed, the former Trident driver, who had a slower start than his pursuers, had to fight his way through the first corner to hold on against Matias Zagazeta (DAMS) behind him.

However, the incidents in his rearview mirrors during the first lap allowed him to breathe and even build up a lead of several seconds while the race was neutralized under virtual safety car regime. Behind, Santiago Ramos was forced to resist Martinius Stenshorne (Hitech GP) who put him under pressure for a long time thanks in particular to the DRS and the four activation zones.

But despite a few attempts from the Norwegian and a few scares in the fast zones on his part, Santiago Ramos held on to become the first winner of this 2025 season, signing his first victory in the process. Formula 3. Roman Bilinski (Rodin Motorsport) completed the podium ahead of Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak (Campos) and Matias Zagazeta.

For the French team, Théophile Naël (VAR) was the best performer. Third in qualifying and 10th on the grid this Saturday, the Saint-Étienne driver had a lively race. Starting in 6th, he then lost a few positions before climbing back up to 7th place, scoring 4 points, his first in F3. For Alessandro Giusti (MP Motorsport), the points were within his grasp, but he ultimately failed to reach the Top 10 before a 10-second penalty for failure to comply with Safety Car procedures dropped him to 21st place. The Parisian nevertheless showed a good ability to move up the field.

Poleman the day before, Rafael Câmara (Trident) was forced to retire after a collision with ART Grand Prix drivers James Wharton and Laurens van Hoepen.

The Main Race is scheduled for this Saturday at 23:00 p.m. (French time).
