A big first for Ivan Domingues (Van Amersfoort Racing)! This Saturday in Barcelona, the Portuguese driver won his first sprint race in F3. Thus, the driver who started sixth on the grid took advantage of a chaotic start to the race, marked by five retirements, to take the lead and not let go until the finish. He beat his teammate Santiago Ramos (Van Amersfoort Racing). Nikola Tsolov (Campos), who is coming off a perfect weekend in Monaco (1st in practice, poleman, winner of the main race), completed the podium.

Behind them, the two Frenchmen, Théophile Naël (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Alessandro Giusti (MP Motorsport), drove a solid race to take fifth and sixth place respectively. In the closing laps, Giusti tried to overtake his compatriot, but Naël held off. Their good weekend in Barcelona thus continues.

On the other hand, big disappointment for the leader of the F3 championship, Rafael Câmara (Trident), which sees Tsolov getting closer in the rankings. Indeed, after taking pole the day before in Barcelona, the Brazilian had to retire due to a broken front wing and left suspension. The reason? He simply hit Tuukka Taponen (ART) at the start, while the latter had stalled on the grid... Logically, the Finn also had to stop his race prematurely.

These weren't the only retirements this Saturday. Roman Bilinski (Rodin) and Martinius Stenshorne (Hitech), who started on the front row, saw their sprint race end at the second corner after a collision. Neck and neck, neither side wanted to give way, and the battle ended in the gravel trap. Finally, Tim Tramnitz (MP Motorsport) also crashed in the second corner and was forced to retire.
