To begin an adventure in Formula 3There are undoubtedly more peaceful situations. That said, for Enzo Deligny, the decision is made. The rumor had been circulating for several days, and now it's official. The French driver, committed to R-ace GP in 2025 in the European Formula Regional Championship, is finally changing teams, moving from Prema to Van Amersfoort Racing for the 2026 season. A sudden but deliberate choice, just days before the start of pre-season testing in Barcelona, scheduled from February 11th to 13th.
“We have three days with VAR to get things sorted out,” Enzo Deligny sums it up on the AUTOhebdo microphoneWhether it's with the engineers, the car, the balance… the working methods will be different. The fourth day with the team will already be Melbourne, qualifying day (barely a month after next week's tests – Ed.). It's not easy, but so far everyone has been very welcoming and kind when I visited them at the workshop. I already have a good feeling, but the challenge will be to maximize these three days more than any other driver on the grid.

Deligny is betting on change in F3
While the initial announcement concerned a collaboration with Prema at the end of 2025, it seems that the difficulties encountered by the Italian team, coupled with departures such as those of Guillaume Capietto, and of course, René Rosin and Angelina Erstou, tipped the scales. In the meantime, Enzo Deligny will now begin his first year in the same paddocks as the team that notably welcomed Frenchman Théophile Naël, as well as Santiago Ramos – winner at Imola. F1He will team up with Bruno Del Pino and Hiyu Yamakoshi, so Jesse Carrasquedo is definitely withdrawing from the adventure.
"They are very professional, I am confident regarding their performance because they have already thoroughly debriefed their performance from last year." the young pilot explains“I think the car isn’t quite at the level of Trident or Campos yet, but it can still aim to fight at the front if we can put everything together. I feel confident in my role within the team. I’m not just learning on my own. With VAR, I can already start pushing the team.”
While aware of the difficulty of the task, Enzo Deligny remains conscious that the essential thing lies in his driving, and in his ability to adapt quickly to Van Amersfoort Racing, his new environment. "It's not ideal, but it's not dramatic," he tempers. Ultimately, it's the same car. The setup is different, sure, but we'll still have to push hard, go fast, I know how to do that. We're not in a backmarker team either! They won races last year, I'm happy about that.
Starting Wednesday, February 11th, Enzo Deligny will be back on the Barcelona track for the final tests before Melbourne. The two other French drivers, Alessandro Giusti and Théophile Naël, will also be there, among a field of thirty drivers, including a particularly highly regarded top third.
