The fastest times were set in the afternoon session, held on a dry track, with Benavides posting a 1:33.022, which allowed him to set the fastest time, less than a tenth ahead of Brazilian Pedro Clerot, and 106 thousandths ahead of Italian Mattia Colnaghi.
As in Barcelona, the tests allow those used to the discipline to get back into shape, while the rookies can discover the F3, towards which some will gravitate from FRECA or other championships. This is notably the case of Freddie Slater, who set the fifth best time, just behind the Frenchman Alessandro Giusti.
The afternoon session ended a few moments earlier than planned following Bruno del Pino's exit. The Spaniard, who was part of VAR, lost control and caused a red flag, but he is fine according to official information from the championship.
The final test session of the year will take place this Wednesday, with a total of 5.5 hours of driving for the young drivers who will then be able to take advantage of the off-season and perfect their preparations before the start of 2026, when further test sessions will be organized before the first rounds of the championship.
