- La F3 holds its 12th different winner in 19 races. It is Tim Tramnitz (MP Motorsport). Heir to pole position due to the reverse grid, the Dutchman turned in a very clean performance this Saturday morning at Monza.
- The task was not, however, very easy for the protégé of Red Bull who had to work hard at the first braking point against Dino Beganovic (Prema) and Sebastian Montoya (Campos) to keep the lead. Although he was able to distance himself, Tim Tramnitz still had to deal with two Safety Car restarts, the second of which was for a final race lap. By restarting just before the Parabolica, he was able to create a small gap on his pursuers to reach the finish line in the lead. Sebastian Montoya and Santiago Ramos (Trident) completed the podium. The only Frenchman entered, Sami Meguetounif (Trident) had a lively Sprint. At one time fighting for a podium, he finally finished 6th.
- Among the title contenders, Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident) almost pulled off the best move of the day. Starting 16th, the championship leader managed to climb back up to 7th for a while and place himself as the best against Gabriele Mini (Prema) and Luke Browning (Hitech GP), his main rivals.
- But the last laps were more complicated for him who finally finished 9th, Luke Browning finishing 7th in front of him while Gabriele Mini took the checkered flag in 10th place. A very good operation all the same for Leonardo Fornaroli who only lost one point in the standings against Browning (3rd) who he is ahead of by 5 points. Mini lost ground on his compatriot and is now 3 lengths behind.
- This Sunday, Leonardo Fornaroli will start from pole position in the Main Race (8:30) and will pocket two additional points. Gabriele Mini will be 3rd while Luke Browning will have to fight for position since he will start only 13th.
