Present in Dijon-Prenois to support the younger players, Alessandro Giusti is taking advantage of his free time to broaden his experience. Before the implicit resumption of the Formula 3 This week, as part of testing, the French player spent time with the new generation.

“I came to coach the two Americans, Maverick McKenna and Jack Iliffe, who are with The Grid,” he explains to us. I've been helping them since Thursday. It's nice to have this new role in motorsport. It's always an experience to gain. You see things differently. You can progress this way, even in F3, although they're not the same categories. I went through this four years ago, so it's always nice to come back.

Far from abandoning his role as a racing driver, Alessandro Giusti is preparing to get back in the saddle. This week, the driver supported by Williams will have a meeting, like the rest of the grid, with the Red Bull Ring to get back behind the wheel of his Formula 3 car, as part of new official tests.

“It’s true that in F3, there’s a big break to manage. The first meeting was complicated for us. We’ve already started working with the team (MP Motorsport), doing simulator work… I’m also doing it with Williams in parallel,” he explains to us. The engineers had time to work on it. I'm ultimately glad the break came now. It gave us time to analyze this first weekend. I think we're now ready for testing, to regain some performance compared to the others.

Before adding: “To be honest, I feel like Melbourne hasn’t even arrived yet! It’s as if the first race of the season is happening in Monaco. The tests coming up this week are like pre-season tests… We’re going to start from scratch!”
