Formula 3 unveils its new car: the F3 2025

As with the Formula 2 Last year, it was at the Temple of Speed ​​that Formula Motorsport Limited, promoter of the two junior categories of the F1, has decided to present its new mount, this time for the Formula 3After 6 seasons of good and loyal service, the F3 2019 will bow out to make way for its little sister, the F3 2025. This will be used for the 2025, 2026 and 2027 campaigns.

For this new project, FML has not changed its partnerships and has once again collaborated with Dallara for the chassis part and with Mecachrome for the mechanics. A decision that is in line with the F2 2024, also the result of the association between the Italian and French brands.

Visually, this F3 2025 is similar to modern F1 cars and also to the new generation of F2 cars, with a more undulating body and reworked wings. A design that is supposed to increase overtaking possibilities in races. Technically, it is also in line with its predecessors, offering the same standards of safety, systems and performance, at affordable costs.

While the Mecachrome 6-litre naturally aspirated 3,4-cylinder engine is still relevant, this new Formula 3 features 16-inch tyres that will be made of natural rubber from 2025, compared to 13-inch tyres until now. In addition, this 3 F2025 has been developed with a view to running on 100% sustainable fuel from Aramco, currently under development, to comply with FIA standards, while Formula 1 has the ambition and objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.

Note that the cockpit has been redesigned to improve its ergonomics and facilitate the installation of the driver, in order to meet the needs of a wide range of drivers.

F3 2025 completed its Shakedown last June in Varano, Italy, with Tatiana Calderón at the wheel. Since then, no fewer than 2.000 kilometers have been completed during which different areas of work have been exploited. New tests are planned.

The first model will be delivered to the teams at the end of December, while the other two will be delivered in mid-January. They will then be able to try them out during pre-season testing, the dates of which have not yet been confirmed.
