- And after about 10 hours of waiting and a delay in the start, we finally know the winner of the Sprint Race of the F3 at Silverstone: Arvid Lindblad (Prema).
- Initially scheduled for this Saturday at 10:20 a.m. (French time), the event was postponed to 19:10 p.m. (French time) due to bad weather conditions, due to heavy rain. Under the setting sun of the English track, Arvid Linblad took advantage of the bad start of poleman Noel León (VAR) and his fight with Matias Zagazeta (Jenzer) to take the lead. On a very fast pace, the local then produced a very clean copy by perfectly managing the 18 laps of this Sprint.
- Despite an intervention by the Safety Car and two virtual safety cars, the protégé of Red Bull took off to win with more than 6" ahead of Noel León and Matias Zagazeta, who scored his first points in F5. This is his third victory of the season after the Sprint Race in Bahrain and the Main Race in Barcelona more recently.
- Championship leader, Luke Browning (Hitech GP) finished one lap behind the leader. Forced to return to the pits at slow speed after a poorly negotiated maneuver by Tim Tramnitz (MP Motorsport) to change his left front tire, he crashed, finishing 24th. In the standings, he saw his runner-up Gabriele Mini (Prema) gain 5 points from him thanks to his 6th place, thus coming back 8 lengths.
- The only Frenchman entered in F3, Sami Meguetounif (Trident) finished in 8th place after the penalty from Christian Mansell (ART Grand Prix).
The F3 Main Race is scheduled for 9:20 a.m. this Sunday.
