At the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, conditions were unusual for the drivers, to say the least. Rain had affected the previous practice sessions before the start, leading to a corresponding choice of intermediate tires. Pole-sitter Alex Ninovic opted to stick with this decision, while his closest rival, Jan Przyrowski, gambled on the soft tires before the race. Dominant in the early stages, the Pole quickly overtook Ninovic, only to be caught mid-race by the Rodin driver. The two finished ahead of Maksimilian Popov, completing the podium ahead of the two Mumbai Falcons drivers, Sebastian Wheldon and Kean Nakamura-Berta.
Starting further back in the pack, Frenchman Jules Roussel demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt from one week to the next. Completely unfamiliar with the car and his team last week, the Nantes native, who started 18th on the grid, crossed the finish line in 11th position. More confident behind the wheel of his G4, he managed to overtake his teammate Andrea Dupé, as well as other drivers such as Rashid Al Dhaheri, the previous day's race winner. Unfortunately, shortly after Roussel's overtake, Andrea Dupé was hit on the left rear, resulting in a frustrating 27th place finish.

After this race, unable to catch Rashid Al Dhaheri, who holds a commanding lead in the championship, winner Alex Ninovic poses a significant threat to Kean Nakamura-Berta in the standings. Maksimilian Popov, now level on points with the morning's winner, will also have to fight hard in Race 3. Sebastian Wheldon will start from pole position in this new race, ahead of Kean Nakamura-Berta and Kabir Anurag. Sixth-placed Rashid Al Dhaheri will have a lot riding on the race, with the start scheduled for 12:30 PM (French time).
