For Rashid Al-Dhaheri, who had not yet won any races at this level of the carThis marks a second victory in six days in FRMET. A member of the academy Mercedes BenzThe Emirati driver, who started second on the grid, got a better start than his predecessor, Kean Nakamura-Berta. Italian F4 champion and supported by WilliamsThe Japanese driver, operating under a British license, was indeed caught out at the lights going out and was unable to make up for lost time afterwards.

Behind the two leaders, American Alex Powell confirmed his good form by completing the podium, ahead of his compatriot Sebastian Wheldon. But in this instance, a new kind of drama marked this latest race at the Yas Marina circuit. While stalls at the start and accidents had characterized races 2 and 3 of the first weekend of the season, another dramatic incident came as a surprise. The only driver to retire before the finish, Alceu Feldmann Neto, driving for MP Motorsport, was involved in a collision, ending his race in an upside-down car with the halo still on the ground. This incident, which brought out a red flag for nearly fifteen minutes, thankfully did not injure the driver involved, although bizarre situations are becoming increasingly common in Abu Dhabi.

As for the French drivers, Taito Kato crossed the finish line in 15th position, ahead of Andrea Dupé in 16th. Jules Roussel, who was able to participate in qualifying this time, unlike last week, finished his race in 21st position, not far behind another driver competing in the French F4 Championship in 2025, Matteo Giaccardi (18th). Races 2 and 3 will take place at 8:00 AM (French time) and 12:30 PM, respectively, this Sunday, January 25th. Rashid Al-Dhaheri will try to maintain his lead, even though Race 2 starts with a reverse grid for the top ten.
