For the first time in his young career, Emirati driver Rashid Al-Dhaheri triumphed in the Formula Regional category, dominating the race from start to finish. Starting from pole position, the driver, competing on home soil this weekend in Abu Dhabi, remained composed, aided somewhat at the start by another stall not far from him. While a similar incident in Race 2 caused a major accident involving Michael Belov (who withdrew from Race 3), the second-placed driver on the starting grid – Alex Ninovic – suffered the same misfortune.

Closely followed by American Alex Powell, the day's winner was not troubled, thus finishing ahead of the Floridian, as well as Christian Ho, third after his victory in Race 2. It is worth noting the fine fourth place of Kabir Anurag, who started from ninth position, and was able to cross the finish line just off the podium despite a battle with Kean Nakamura-Berta.

New accidents to report

Unfortunately, while a calmer race than Race 2 was expected, this final race of the weekend produced further scares. Right from the start, in addition to Alex Ninovic stalling on the front row, two other cars failed to get going. This resulted in no contact, but the new Tatuus, introduced this weekend, will need to be inspected before the start of next week's racing.

Furthermore, Italian Giovanni Maschio certainly suffered the most violent crash of Race 3. Propelled into the outside wall of the start/finish straight, the Italian appeared uninjured at first glance, but was forced to abandon the race. car in a bad state.

On the French side, the performance was disappointing, as evidenced by their less-than-impressive grid positions. Jules Roussel, starting 19th, concluded a weekend hampered by an engine problem that prevented him from participating in qualifying, but he still managed to climb through the field in each race. Andrea Dupé finished 23rd overall after a twelfth-place finish in Race 2.

Next weekend, the competitors will meet again at the Yas Marina circuit, while Rashid Al-Dhaheri emerges from this first of four race weekends as the championship leader. Christian Ho, in second place, is only nine points behind.
