Personal experience: The F4 in India, quite a journey

While India isn't particularly known for its motorsport achievements, the journeys of Narain Karthikeyan, Karun Chandhok, and the Force India team have nonetheless inspired others. Since 2023, RPPL Motorsports has been organizing an FIA-sanctioned Formula 4 championship. Recruited to coach participants, I'm taking this opportunity to share with you a trip full of color and excitement.

You don't just arrive in the world's most populous democracy without making a bit of an effort. Nice-Munich, Munich-Bangalore, Bangalore-Coimbatore—the journey, punctuated by long layovers, stretches over about 24 hours, including the 4.5-hour time difference. It's early morning, and barely having slept a wink, that I climb, exhausted, onto the bus chartered by the championship promoter, heading for the Kari Motor Speedway. Lost in the countryside of the suburbs.

When will we see a similar adventure in Uruguay, for example, a much smaller country but with a stronger motorsport culture and numerous racetracks across the country?
