The year 2025 marked a significant milestone for Mari Boya. With a victory and several podium finishes, he finished third in the overall standings of the F3Alongside his on-track results, his integration into the new driver academy ofAston Martin allowed him to closely follow the workings of a structure of Formula 1.

Preparation with the Prema stable

In preparation for the 2026 season, Boya conducted his first tests in Formula 2 at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. This test followed a period of observation during the last two rounds of the season in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

"The car is faster and more powerful than the F3 car. Working with Prema allowed us to adapt to each other before the official tests.""The objective of this early immersion was to assimilate the working methods of the Italian team and to establish the driving plans for the end-of-year tests," explains the driver.

Technical learning and mentoring

During the autumn, Boya accompanied the Aston Martin team to the Mexico Grand Prix. This presence in the garage allowed him to attend the technical debriefings alongside Lance stroll et Fernando Alonso.

The Spaniard emphasizes the educational aspect of this experience, particularly through exchanges with his comrade: "He took the time to explain the technical points to me during the debriefing sessions. This weekend allowed me to observe the management of the complex parameters of an F1 race."

An approach focused on regularity

Boya draws lessons on race management from his 2025 campaign. According to him, the key to progress lies in focusing on the elements controllable by the driver. "In motorsport, many factors are beyond our control. It is essential to adapt to unforeseen situations to maintain performance.", he says.

The driver will begin his Formula 2 program in 2026, supported by the Silverstone structure.
