Without a shadow of a doubt, Chloe Chambers (Campos) is gaining momentum in this championship. F1 Academy. Already on pole in Jeddah and then in Miami, the driver supported by Red Bull Ford repeated its performance this Friday at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal. Much more convincing with a time of 1:38.125, it managed to create a gap of three tenths over British driver Alisha Palmowski (Campos), who set the second fastest time in the session.

Accusing herself of almost half a second behind the leader, Dorian Pin (Prema) climbs to third place ahead of the weekend's main race. The Frenchwoman is in a good position to attempt another comeback, particularly in the Sprint. In Miami, the Iron Lady started from sixth place in the Sprint, making a superb start before winning at the end of the race. Similarly, since the top 3 was exactly the same after qualifying in Miami, it will be identical at the start of the first race, which will start at 15:05 p.m. (French time). Indeed, this race will be the first of three scheduled this weekend, in order to make up for the one that did not take place in Florida.

Weug in danger since heading the F1 Academy

Among the poor performances at the start of the F1 Academy weekend, Maya Weug (MP Motorsport) also appeared to have struggled on one lap. With good race pace, the Dutchwoman, current championship leader, only started from 15th place in races 2 and 3. A second and a half off the lead, the driver, supported by Ferrari ranked behind Mathilda Paatz, who received a Wild Card this week.

This Saturday, two races will be on the program, with the first event starting at 15:05 p.m., and the second, the Sprint, which will start at 20:40 p.m. Both events of the day will be broadcast on Canal+ Sport.
