Doriane Pin before the F1 Academy final: "It's the others who should be worried."

Winner of three races this 2025 season F1 Academy, Dorian Pin She indeed dominated in Shahgai, Miami, and then Montreal, before experiencing a less spectacular second half of the season. Conversely, Maya Weug won earlier this year in Jeddah, Zandvoort, and then Singapore, securing two extremely valuable victories in the final two rounds of the championship. Epic, achieved on the last lap of a race that started in the rain, the Dutch rider's latest victory boosted her confidence before the final round in Las Vegas.

Is Doriane Pin about to get things going again?

Forced to abandon the race in Quebec while still within striking distance, Maya Weug seemed to have lost all chance of a title during that Montreal weekend. Less sharp, but still consistent since her last victory, Doriane Pin views Las Vegas as no more important than any other event. For the Frenchwoman, staying calm appears to be the key to her preparation.

“We are in first place, so we are the ones in charge. We don’t need to change anything, we just need to be fast.” sums up the TricoloreEverything will come naturally, so I'm not worried. It's those behind me who should be worried.

As a reminder, the F1 Academy points system awards 10 points to the winner of the sprint race, whose grid is reversed for the top eight qualifiers. The feature race awards the same number of points as a Formula 1 Grand Prix: 25 for first place, 18 for second, 15 for third, and so on down to tenth place.

In practical terms, Maya Weug needs to score nine more points than Doriane Pin in this final round to catch up with the Frenchwoman. However, in the event of a tie, the two drivers will be separated by their number of wins. Currently, the score is three each, and this could very well change for either driver during this final race weekend.
