Committed to Prema in each of its projects, Dorian Pin has been ambitious since its beginnings in car. For her, 2025 represents her second season in F1 Academy, after a first year punctuated by success, but unfortunately not crowned with a title. Followed by Mercedes Benz Since the beginning of 2024, it is in FRECA that the Frenchwoman has also chosen to develop and build her skills. Injured in the sides last year, the interested party had to take it easy somewhat, notably canceling her scheduled participation in the 24H of Le Mans.

This season, the Frenchwoman has been totally focused on single-seater racing. Until now, Doriane Pin has completed her season with four Formula Regional rounds, without achieving the expected results. This Thursday evening, "Pocket Rocket" announced that she would not be participating in the upcoming rounds of the discipline, starting with this weekend's event at Red Bull ring.

“After gaining some really useful experience in FRECA earlier this season, my team and I have decided to dedicate all my energy to the F1 Academy for the last two weekends of the calendar, can we read in his story posted on InstagramI will give absolutely everything I have to win the championship with Mercedes. Less rush for Doriane Pin?

With two 17th places achieved in Budapest and Le Castellet as her best results of the season in FRECA, Doriane Pin seemed to be experiencing some difficulties in this series. Benefiting from intense preparation alongside Mercedes – her program was, for example, strictly identical to that of Kimi Antonelli last year in many respects – the Frenchwoman is nevertheless struggling to stay afloat at the higher level, generally considered the best gateway to the F3 Thereafter.

Once again, the question arises as to the opportunities following a potential title in F1 Academy. Dominating in the women's category, does Doriane Pin wish to continue to pursue her single-seater dream in another way? In a more progressive way in learning, like Abbi Pulling, currently competing in GB3? At the origin of convincing results in Endurance At the start of her career, will the French driver follow the example of Marta Garcia, who is back in GT3? The other question remains, in any case, concerning the reasons that pushed Prema or Doriane Pin herself to take this decision. Linked to an insufficient economic situation, to a lack of performance that has become critical, or to a genuine choice on the part of the Frenchwoman, this withdrawal appears in any case to be a step backward while waiting for possible new announcements to come.

While in the short term, success in F1 Academy appears more than beneficial in terms of exposure, a choice will have to be made regarding the consequences of what awaits the driver for 2026.

She's getting beaten up there by kids, 26th, zero points. It's normal for her to stop.
