If the weather hadn't been so capricious, Dorian Pin would certainly have taken over the leadership of the F1 Academy at the end of the meeting last May in Miami. On pole in Florida, the Frenchwoman was able to benefit from this significant advantage during the first of the three races of the weekend in Montreal. Victorious in this first event after a collision between the first two at the start – Chloe Chambers and Alisha Palmowski – the driver supported by Mercedes then showed consistency in continuing its rise.

Already at that moment, the championship leader had changed. Maya Weug, forced to retire after two successive pit stops, was experiencing the start of a long weekend in Canada from the very first race. Also involved in a second incident in Race 2, the Dutchwoman seemed to be marking the end of a run marked by flawless consistency and the rock-solid pace seen at the start of the season.

Competition collapses in F1 Academy

Far from the first three races of the season and the climate of increased competition reigning over the 2025 F1 Academy season, this support round of the Canadian Grand Prix was unfortunately the scene of accidents of all kinds. Involved in one of them despite herself in Race 3, Doriane Pin suffered no damage after the start. In total, two of the three races ended under safety car conditions this weekend. In both races, Doriane Pin was in the top three. More consistent than her rivals, the Prema driver now has 3 points, a 109-point lead over Chloe Chambers, second.
