At the end of a race neutralized twice, Lia Block, supported by Williams, won his first victory in F1 Academy after dominating the track from start to finish. Impeccable at the wheel of his car ART Grand Prix, the American perfectly controlled the two restarts after the safety car interventions, without being worried by her rivals.

Thanks to a sharp start that gave her two positions in the opening meters, Maya Weug (MP Motorsport) took advantage of the chaos caused by the restart to grab second place. Chloe Chambers completed the podium in third place. Luck, however, did not smile on the French team in Singapore. Dorian Pin, Maya Weug's main rival in the championship, finished fifth, while Lisa Billard had to retire after contact with Alba Larsen which seriously damaged her car.

Doriane Pin retains the championship lead despite a mixed race

While Maya Weug showed all her audacity to take second place, clearly hinting at her title ambitions, Doriane Pin found herself stuck behind Emma Felbermayr before finally overtaking the Austrian during the second restart on the Marina Bay circuit. The Frenchwoman thus lost valuable points in this battle for the title to her main competitor. The native of Pedreguer (Spain) finished this race with three more points than the Parisian, who nevertheless recorded the fastest lap of the race, earning herself an additional point – crucial in this context.

Disappointment for Lisa Billard's first appearance in F1 Academy

What a frustration for young Lisa Billard, this weekend's Wild Card in Singapore. After a strong qualifying performance on Friday, the Normandy native started the first race of this round from fourth position. A poor start and contact, however, cost Lisa Billard dearly, forcing her to retire from the event as flames and smoke billowed from her Gatorade-branded car. She was one of four drivers to retire.

The first to leave the race was Nicole Havrda, who hit the wall on the first lap, triggering the first safety car. Then it was Alisha Palmowski's turn, who suffered a violent contact with the barriers at turn nine, while she was valiantly climbing back into the pack. The driver, supported by Red Bull had already had to abandon qualifying the day before after an incident. Finally, Rafaela Ferreira, after multiple stops during the race, causing several yellow flags, also had to end her participation.

Race 2 will take place this Sunday from 9:15 a.m. (French time).
