A few days after the conclusion of the 2025 season of F1 Academy having seen Dorian Pin With the title secured in Las Vegas, announcements are multiplying in anticipation of 2026. This Saturday, it was Prema's turn to present its new rider, as the Italian team had previously not revealed any of its choices for the upcoming season. To succeed Swiss rider Tina Haussman, German rider Mathilda Paatz, who turned 17 on August 1st, will join René Rosin's team. Like her predecessor, she will wear the colors of...Aston Martin and will be supported by the British team during her adventure in the all-female category.

Following Marta García and Doriane Pin, Prema is renewing its F1 Academy.
20th in the French F4 Championship in 2024, Mathilda Paatz competed in four Italian F4 races this season. With one podium finish in 18 Czech F4 races, the German driver finished eighth in the series, in addition to making three F1 Academy starts. A wildcard entry in Montreal, she finished 11th in Race 2 despite two retirements in Races 1 and 3. She now becomes the first Prema driver for next season's F1 Academy, while Nina Gademan and Doriane Pin were the team's other two representatives in 2025.
