António Félix da Costa secured his first victory with Jaguar TCS Racing in round 5 of the World Championship. Formula Ein Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) at the end of a perfectly controlled race, the Portuguese rider finished ahead of Sébastien Buemi (Envision), while reigning champion Oliver Rowland (Nissan) completed the podium.

« What a day! The car was fantastic, the strategy perfect, and once I found my rhythm, I knew we had the pace to fight for the win. said António Félix da Costa. Securing my first victory with Jaguar TCS Racing—and helping the team become the most successful in Formula E history—is something I'm really proud of. This is only my fifth race with the team, so being on the top step of the podium already means a lot to me. We're building something strong here, and I'm excited to see what's next. »

The first of the leaders to activate his two mandatory 50kW all-wheel-drive Attack World Motor Sport boosters, Da Costa built a decisive gap during the second activation phase to win by 2,5 seconds at the checkered flag. This is his first victory with Jaguar and his first win since Portland 2024, giving the British manufacturer its sixth triumph in nine races.

In a very close race in terms of energy consumption, several drivers took turns at the front. Buemi, who ultimately finished second, benefited from an Attack mode overlap to overtake Rowland, who had also led at the start of the race. Edoardo Mortara also held first place before having to settle for fourth position despite two consecutive pole positions for Mahindra.

In the championship, Pascal Wehrlein (PorschePorsche remains at the top of the drivers' standings with 68 points, six points ahead of Mortara, with Rowland in third place with 49 points. Porsche leads the teams' standings with 113 points against 86 for Jaguar, and also the constructors' championship (143 points against 124).

After the EVO Sessions held the following day in Jeddah, Formula E will head to Madrid on March 21 for the sixth round of the 2025-2026 season.
