After four days of intensive testing, the team completed 621 laps, or 2,096 km, confirming the reliability of its new car. car and the quality of the development work carried out over several months. The program focused on energy management, system validation and race simulations, all essential points to prepare for the season opener in São Paulo on December 6.

« This week of testing represents an important step for the entire Citroën Racing team, said Cyril Blais, director of the Citroën Racing Formula E team. Seeing our car on track for the first full official pre-season test is a proud moment for everyone. All the laps were completed without any major incidents, confirming the seriousness of the work and the quality of the collaboration behind the scenes. Of course, performance matters during testing, but on a circuit like Valencia, it's difficult to accurately assess our level compared to the competition. The real test will come when we take to the streets of São Paulo. With the performance and potential demonstrated in Valencia, we approach the next phase with confidence and a clear understanding of the work that remains to be done. »

For Nick Cassidy, this initial contact was promising: Four days of testing here in Valencia are now complete, and it was a very positive first experience with my new team. I'm pleased with how the tests went; we've clearly made progress. We're ambitious and always looking to improve performance, but for our first official test together, this is an excellent start. Of course, we'd like to have a bit more time before São Paulo, but I'm sure we'll be ready. This is my first time working with this group, so we're still learning how to work together, but I believe we'll be in good form for the start of the season. »

Jean-Éric Vergne echoed this sentiment, delighted with his start with the double chevron brand. It was great to start working with my new team – we learned a lot, added the Frenchman. In terms of overall performance, we still have work to do, but it's important to remain humble: we know there's still a lot to do before the first race. Overall, it was very positive; the team is working well together. I'm confident we can have a good first race in São Paulo, and I can't wait! »

In addition to Nick Cassiy and Jean-Éric Vergne, Colombian Tatiana Calderón concluded Citroën's preseason tests by driving on the women's day on Friday, October 31.
