The Indian team, led by Frédéric Bertrand, thus confirms its rise to prominence. After a 2024 season marked by five podium finishes thanks to Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara, the new Mahindra M12Electro – an evolution of the previous model – immediately proved competitive on the Ricardo Tormo circuit.

This allowed us to test different programs and gather a lot of data to analyze. The car is competitive; we've clearly made progress. De Vries shared the same positive feeling after a solid week driving the No. 21 car. Overall, we can be satisfied, adds the Dutchman. We validated the early-season package and collected a lot of data. We shouldn't draw too many conclusions from the tests, as many parameters vary, but the performances shown are encouraging. We're going to São Paulo with the aim of building on last year's momentum. In such a tight championship, executing a perfect weekend makes all the difference. »

On Friday, the Women's Test allowed Chloe Chambers, from the F1 Academy, in turn, shone. The American dominated both sessions and posted a best lap of 1:22.767, just 1.3 seconds off Mortara's benchmark time. It was a very positive day. said the American. I've made a lot of progress since last year's Women's Test, especially in how I drive this car. We worked on fast lap pace, and I felt like I was improving with every outing. I really enjoyed this experience with Mahindra Racing. »

In total, the team completed 618 laps during the week. This should give them confidence heading into the first ePrix of the season, scheduled for December 6th in São Paulo.
