Cherry blossoms are popular among fans and spectators of Formula E, and Nissan has understood this well. For the third consecutive year, the Japanese manufacturer is dressing its car electric with this motif, a true symbol of Japan. The Japanese team has unveiled its new livery that will decorate its Gen3 Evo, introduced for Season 11. Subtle changes compared to the livery used in 2024, but which remain in line with the previous ones.
New driver, new installations
Fourth in the Teams' championship last year, Nissan intends to continue its progression towards the top and can now count on a brand new 2600 mXNUMX factory.2 à Viruses-Châtillon, which juxtaposes the installations ofAlpine F1 Team, now fully operational after the move of the premises from Le Mans (where the DAMS premises are located) to the Paris region over the last two years.
Nissan will also be able to rely on a returning employee: Norman Nato, who, after a short experience at Andretti, is returning to the Japanese company only a year after leaving it. “I am happy to be back in the team and I already feel comfortable with the car, the simulator and all the team members, says the Cannes resident. The biggest change has been the amazing new factory, which allows us to prepare and debrief races in incredible conditions, with the best equipment at our disposal. The new livery is really cool, it keeps our Japanese identity and the fans love it, making us so recognisable on the track.”
Nissan aims for the title
Obviously, Oliver Rowland was retained for this Season 11 after an exceptional campaign in 2024, crowned with two victories and a surprising 4th place in the Drivers' ChampionshipThe Briton could have even aimed higher if he had not missed the double round in Portland (package for health reasons). He will set off again in search of the world title with a new number: in fact, the Englishman will abandon the number 22 for... the number 23, Nissan's lucky number in motorsport and previously used by Sacha Fenestraz last season.
“We are looking forward to the new season and have been working hard to familiarise ourselves with the Gen3 Evo car, says Tommaso Volpe, Team Principal of the Nissan team. Everything has gone well so far and we are looking forward to hitting the track in Valencia. Our new factory is now fully operational, and it has made a huge difference: we have been able to take full advantage of these facilities, allowing us to maximise the team's potential."
“As for the drivers, Norman settled in very quickly, he already knew most of the team members, which made things easier. With Oli, we are confident that we have a strong team, ready to fight for victories and podiums throughout the next season, adds the Italian leader. We are fully focused on continuous improvement and continuing the work done a few months ago, as we aim to challenge at the top in Season 11.”
After a shakedown in the Paris region, Nissan will head to Valencia for pre-season testing (November 4-7) then head to São Paulo for the first round of Season 11 (December 7).
