Pascal Wehrlein dominated the first race of a double-header weekend, marked by the first mandatory pit stop. Starting third on the grid, Wehrlein capitalized on a perfectly executed pit boost strategy at the end of a lively first stint.

After an intense battle against Maximilian Guenther (DS Penske) and Norman Nato (Nissan), the German driver then proved particularly solid on the second stint. Untroubled by attacks from Mortara and Evans, Wehrlein secured the first victory of the season. Porsche during the 12 season.

« It was a perfect race, I had a lot of fun. We waited a bit before using Pit Boost, then Attack mode, but I think it was the right strategy. underlines the champion of season 10. I simply tried to increase my lead. In the end, I was just able to manage the pace. I had some good battles, quite tough especially at the start, but we managed to pull through. A big thank you to the team for the car they provided and for the perfect strategy. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season. The championship isn't very important at the moment. »

It should also be noted that the victory has a symbolic dimension as it was the driver's 100th start in the all-electric category. Buoyed by this triumph, Wehrlein takes the lead in the Drivers' Championship, now with 64 points. It's a great victory today and a wonderful way to celebrate my 100th race in Formula E " he rejoices. Porsche also takes the lead in the Teams and Constructors championships.

This success is all the more important as it ends a drought since Wehrlein's last victory, achieved during season 11 in Miami. I just wanted to win at all costs. assures the German. It's been a long time, and it's great to bounce back like this. »

On the other side of the garage, Porsche's new signing Nico Müller narrowly missed out on a podium finish. The German team, the only one to have both its cars scored points in every race since the start of the 2025-2026 season, has thus confirmed its growing strength.

Pascal Wehrlein and Porsche will have the opportunity to continue this positive momentum, with the next Formula E race scheduled for Saturday, February 14 at 18:05 p.m., again on the Jeddah Corniche circuit.
