Pourchaire, Giusti, Güven… Who will be driving in the Miami Rookie Test?

The rookie test session will feature some impressive drivers, including the 2025 DTM champion and the 2023 Formula 2 winner, Théo Pourchaire. Here's a look at the participants.

Pourchaire, Giusti, Güven… Who will be driving in the Miami Rookie Test?

Like every year, the Formula E The team is giving rookies a chance by organizing a test session reserved for beginners. This 40-minute session will take place as part of the Miami E-Prix, scheduled for January 31st. On Friday, January 30th, 11 drivers will take to the track to discover or rediscover the thrill of driving the all-electric GEN3 cars.

Pepe Martí will notably be fielded by his Cupra Kiro team, with whom he is competing in his first full season in Formula E. The Spaniard, former teammate of Isack Hadjar at Campos in Formula 2He takes advantage of his rookie status in the category to participate in this session, after scoring his first points in Mexico (7th) during his second race, in which he nevertheless started 20th. He is authorized to participate under Article 4.7 of the 2025/26 FIA Formula E Sporting Regulations, which stipulates that a driver is eligible until the end of his first full season in the category.

He will not be the only former protégé of Red Bull Junior Team present on the grid: the champion of Formula 3 In 2020, Dennis Hauger will be signed by Andretti. The Norwegian, Indy NXT champion last year also with Andretti, is preparing to make his debut in IndyCar with Dale Coyne Racing in 2026.

Théo Pourchaire and Alessandro Giusti return 

He also came through Formula 2, where he was crowned champion in his third season in 2023. Theo Pourchaire will take to the track with Citroën. He is taking advantage of the links between the Stellantis group teams to increase his track time at the start of this season.

Winner of the main race in Monaco in 2025, Zak O'Sullivan was then racing for ART Grand Prix in Formula 2. He has since been dropped by the academy. Alessandro Giusti will participate in his second Rookie Test with Jaguar. The Frenchman continues to gain experience before hoping to compete at the highest level with MP Motorsport in F3.

Gabriele Mini, who will be competing with DAMS in Formula 2 in 2025, is one of two drivers launched by Nissan. The Italian will be partnered with Abbi Pulling, the world champion. F1 Academy 2024. Also from the carNikita Bedrin will be at the wheel of the DS Penske, as he was during the Berlin Rookie Test last summer. Former F1 Academy driver Chloe Chambers will pilot the Mahindra, while young Hugh Barter will be on track with Lola Yamaha. Finally, Ayhancan Güven, freshly crowned champion of DTMwill be on track with PorscheThe 28-year-old Turk will notably be driving in the WEC this year at the wheel of a Porsche for Manthey Racing.
