Théo Pourchaire will take the wheel of the Citroën Formula E car during the free practice sessions reserved for rookies in Miami.

The French driver, who is about to experience his first full season in the World Championship...Endurance with Peugeot will find himself back behind the wheel of a Formula E at the end of January, in Miami. Theo Pourchaire has already participated in two free practice sessions in the discipline, both for Maserati, the team which has since become Citroën, the Stellantis group having reorganized its participation in the 100% electric championship at the start of Season 12.

With Nick Cassidy and Jean-Éric Vergne as their regular drivers, Citroën has enjoyed a strong start to the season with two podium finishes, including a victory in Mexico for the New Zealander. Cassidy now leads the championship, having previously been a frontrunner when driving a Jaguar. Like Pourchaire, the 31-year-old will compete in the Jaguar for the entire season. WEC driving the Peugeot 9X8.

It is on Friday, January 30th, that Théo Pourchaire will take the wheel of the Citroën, on the eve of the Miami E-Prix. For the first time, the American race will be held on a modified version of the Miami Autodrome, which has hosted the World Championship since 2022. Formula 1.

"Théo has already demonstrated his talent and maturity during previous sessions reserved for beginners, and we are delighted to welcome him back.", explains Cyril Blais, Team Principal of Citroën in Formula E. "He's part of the family and did a remarkable job in previous tests. Miami represents a new challenge for all teams, and his feedback will be invaluable in helping us build on our early-season successes."

"I'm really happy to be back in Formula E for the rookie tests in Miami, and I'm looking forward to tackling a new circuit.", agrees the native of Grasse. “The last time I drove this car was in Berlin in 2025, so it’s been a while, but I’ll be training intensively on the simulator with the team to be as prepared as possible for this session. The Hard Rock Stadium circuit is new to everyone, so I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s preparation and learning as much as possible in this unique environment.”

Other rookies have already been announced for this session, namely Chloe Chambers at Mahindra, and Nikita Bedrin at DS Penske.
