Valencia Matchday 3 – Edoardo Mortara still in the lead

The Mahindra driver set Wednesday's benchmark time of 1:21.680, at the end of a day marked by several interruptions due to rain and a few minor incidents. Sébastien Buemi (Envision) caused a red flag after a pit stop, while Nyck de Vries (Mahindra) briefly neutralized the session due to a wide, harmless exit.

Despite these interruptions, Mortara was consistent and incisive, confirming the times already set by the Indian team the previous day. Behind him, Jake Dennis (Andretti) missed the fastest time by just 0.098 seconds, ahead of the other Mahindra driver, Nyck de Vries. Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche) took fourth place ahead of his new teammate Nico Müller, who finished fifth, 0.066 seconds behind the German driver. For Citroën, Nick Cassidy climbed to sixth place and Jean-Éric Vergne finished 12th.

The top 10, particularly tight, suggests a 2025-2026 season that will be hotly contested before the championship kicks off on December 6th in Brazil. A final day of testing is scheduled for this Thursday for the regular drivers from season 12. Friday will be reserved for the female drivers.
