Dan Ticktum has " the makings of a world champion,” says Russell O'Hagan
« I'm happy to be back. Season 11 was much more positive than any previous season., says Dan Ticktum. Last year, we faced a major challenge in getting everything together in a limited time frame. However, we managed to do it halfway through the season., recalls the Briton. I'm looking forward to continuing this momentum this year. If we can get off to a strong start, we have a car that's good enough to take more wins. »
Russell O'Hagan, Managing Director of Cupra Kiro, is also looking forward to continuing the collaboration with the 26-year-old driver. Continuing our collaboration with Dan for Season 12 was the easiest decision for our team to make. Pepe Martí completes the Cupra Kiro squad: farewell to Formula 1?
The pilot of Formula 2, Josep Maria “Pepe” Martí, also joins the Spanish brand in FE with a first participation planned at home for the pre-season tests which will take place on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia. Currently sixth in the Formula 2 championship, Pepe Martí is snubbed by Red Bull in favor of Arvid Lindblad – expected to potentially move up F1 – even though the Spaniard is ahead of his teammate in the championship. Now confirmed in Formula E, the Catalan is not expected to participate in the Abu Dhabi finale, which will be held at the same time as the FE curtain-opener in Brazil. Will Campos Racing decide to offer its seat to a driver from Formula 3 like the Bulgarian Nikola Tsolov?
« I am very excited to join Cupra Kiro for the 2025/26 Formula E season, says the Spaniard. I'll be a rookie, but I'm really excited to get started. The team is heading into Season 12 on the back of a win in Jakarta. I'm feeling very motivated to start this new chapter.. With Dan [Ticktum] as my teammate, I'll have a lot to learn and catch up on at the start of the season, admits the Barcelona native. My goal is to quickly find the right rhythm, progress quickly, score points and, I hope, achieve some good results. »
« Pepe's arrival at Cupra Kiro marks an exciting new chapter for the team, adds Russell O'Hagan for his partAlthough he is only 20 years old, Pepe demonstrates exceptional maturity, composure, and intelligence. Combined with his natural speed, this makes him one of the finest talents in modern motorsport. His decision to leave Formula 2 to devote himself fully to our Formula E project also demonstrates his confidence in the future of the championship and our team. His track record and motivation align perfectly with our own goals. Together, we are building something with long-term potential. I look forward to seeing how our shared journey unfolds in Season 12. »
