While the season of Formula 1 As the Formula 12 season draws to a close this weekend, it kicks off in São Paulo, Brazil. Reigning world champion Oliver Rowland will defend his title with Nissan, where he will once again be partnered by Frenchman Norman Nato. On the French side, Citroën will make its debut in... car this weekend with Jean-Éric Vergne and Nick Cassidy.

Among the main changes to the 2025-2026 grid is the departure of António Félix da Costa from Porsche towards Jaguar. The Portuguese driver is replaced at the German manufacturer by the Swiss driver Nico Müller, who arrives from Andretti. The Brazilian Felipe Drugovich will make his debut with the American team, while Josep María Martí will start with Cupra Kiro.

Although the first round of the season takes place in São Paulo, the single-seaters will not race on the Interlagos circuit. The São Paulo track of the FE is an urban circuit, consisting of 11 turns. In 2024, Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche) had secured pole position, but the victory went to Mitch Evans (Jaguar).

After a Free Practice session this Friday, most of the on-track action will take place on Saturday, with Free Practice 2, qualifying from 13:40pm (Paris time) and the race starting at 18:05pm (Paris time).
