Valencia Day 4 – Nissan responds to Mahindra

The reigning world champion made his mark. Oliver Rowland (Nissan) was fastest on the fourth day of pre-season testing in Valencia, Spain, the last day dedicated to the regular drivers for season 12, whose first race is scheduled for December 6 in Brazil. The Briton set the benchmark time of 1:21.498, just two hundredths of a second ahead of Taylor Barnard (DS Penske). Frenchman Norman Nato (Nissan) had set the fastest time of the morning with a 1:21.502.

The best overall time of the week remains Edoardo Mortara's 1:21.493, a testament to the strong form demonstrated by the Mahindra team during these tests. The Swiss driver set the third fastest time on Thursday afternoon, his teammate Nyck de Vries ranking fifth.

Nick Cassidy was the fastest Citroën driver in this sixth practice session, 0.179 seconds behind Rowland. Jean-Éric Vergne finished 16th, between António Félix da Costa (Jaguar) and Felipe Drugovich (Andretti).

The preseason trials of Formula E conclude this Friday with a day reserved for female pilots starting at 9:00 am.
